CediA Africa is a non-governmental organization that seeks to achieve communities’ sustainable economic development. CediA Africa has the mission to promote and implement training, research, policy analysis, consultancy and publications for people-centered community economic development (CED) throughout Africa, in partnership with civil society organizations, higher learning institutions and local and national government institutions.
CediA Africa foresees societies in which all members are imparted with knowledge and skills leading them
to effectively participate in social change and contribute to the economic development of their communities, regions, and continent.
CediA Africa is guided by the principles and strategies of Community Economic Development (CED).
Public participation, community building, self-reliance, community control and capacity building constitute the principles at the heart of
CED initiatives and are the reason why we use participatory data collection and analytics.
